Going There

I plan to head to Japan for some ski time in March of 2010. Why Japan? Because it's the next Utah. No real details on exactly where the trip will go, but it will be good, for sure (hint: it's in Northern Japan). I don't want to spoil the surprise just yet. Now I need to get a passport. Finally.

The next 8 years are going to very interesting/exciting. Additionally, let us not forget to reflect and embrace how historic the events of yesterday were. Buckle up.

Laid Up - Laid Back

Every four hours I take a pill. This little pill makes the pain from my knee surgery go away. For a little while. Soon, I won't need the take the pills anymore. Every day my knee gets stronger.

That's right, I had knee surgery on Monday, January 12th. I tore the meniscus in my left knee while skiing two days after Christmas. The journey, from this point forward, only gets better.

Once Upon a Time

Once upon a time, in May of 2008, I went to Chicago with Tina. We spent an entire day touring the city with friends. The weather was beautiful, I took so many great photos and was so excited to get them home and upload them to my computer. The uploading never happened, as I lost EVERY photo when my camera's memory card was inadvertently reformatted at the end of that same day. The next day we made another quick round of the city before having to fly home. Here's a quickie:

We've been seeing storms romp across the valley and up into the Wasatch pretty regularly the past couple of weeks. I've been out of the game with a twisted (hopefully just a twist...) knee for last bit, so it's been great fun watching everyone else get excited about going up and enjoying the goodness. I've been enjoying the snow in other ways.
